Attorney Bios
Dexter Van Davis
Mr. Davis is the founder of the Davis Law Group, P.L., and specialize in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense and workers’ compensation law. Before practicing law, Mr. Davis spent eight years in the United States Air Force as a Paralegal Specialist.
Mr. Davis was accepted into law school at the University of Florida and commuted from Jacksonville, to Gainesville, Florida each day every day for two-and-a-half years. His motivation and dedication allowed him to complete the usual three year program six months early. While attending the University of Florida he and his trial partner received the “Book Award”, given to the best trial lawyers for mock trial competition.
Upon graduating law school, Mr. Davis was hired as an Assistant State Attorney (prosecutor), with the Fourth Judicial Circuit. Mr. Davis later served as an Assistant General Counsel with the City of Jacksonville. He has had numerous trials as a prosecutor and gained an excellent reputation among his peers. Today, he now uses that expertise to protect client’s rights.
Mr. Davis continues to serve as a Judge Advocate General (J.A.G.) with the Florida Air National Guard and has a total of 28 years serving his Country. Mr. Davis has served his Country, served his State, served his City and now ready to serve you.. He has been a principal member in two different law firms and established the Davis Law Group, P.L. on January 1, 2007. Mr. Davis’ firm is “Dedicated to Demanding Justice for you.”
Mr. Davis is a member of the Florida Bar, National Bar Association, Jacksonville Bar Association and the D.W. Perkins Bar Association.
Andrea Bryant
Andrea Bryant practices in the areas of family law and personal injury. A native of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she is the daughter of a retired Army First Sergeant and has lived throughout the United States and abroad.
Upon graduating from high school, Andrea pursued undergraduate studies at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. While attending Furman, Andrea tutored and mentored local high school students and was a member of “Furman’s Finest.”
Following college, Andrea attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she maintained a full schedule year round, in addition to working part-time. At Cooley, she completed a two-term externship in the Sixty Plus Inc., Elder Law Clinic, providing free legal services to indigents, age 60 and older. As an extern she was given the independence to work closely with her clients throughout all stages of representation, developing legal strategies to resolve their issues. With only minimal assistance from faculty and supervisors, Andrea counseled her clients on a variety of matters such as estate planning/administration, guardianships, and Medicaid/Social Security issues.
Since graduating from Cooley, Andrea has been an associate with the Davis Law Group, P.L. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the D.W. Perkins Bar Association.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys cooking gourmet meals, reading, volunteering and spending time with family.
